Are you attending Flesh Queer Festival taking place on 28th and 29th May 2022? If you are we know you’re in for a treat as the event is promising a two-day extravaganza of techno music and camping unlike any other.
As the UK’s first queer electronic music and camping festival, Flesh Festival celebrates all things queer, with a huge celebration for LGBTQ+ individuals and their friends who want to have a good time in a diverse festival setting.
Taking place at Springfield Farm in St Albans, just 40 minutes from London, the festival will feature three stages with headliners including DJs Ellen Allien, VTSS and Hyperaktivist. Queer artists such as Wax Wings, S/HE, and Samantha Togni will also be in attendance making this a must-attend event.
There will be a lot more to do than just lose yourself in music as well. It will give you the opportunity to socialise, enjoy workshops and panels, sharing experiences with like-minded people without pressure, and in a relaxed and inviting space. There will also be food stalls, pop-up shops, an inclusive play area, and a self-care workshop hosted by charity Rainbow Mind.
Flesh Festival aims to breakdown societal barriers, bringing a spotlight to underrepresented artists and features a line-up of predominately women, trans+ and non-binary artists from a wide range of ethnicities. Giving a platform to these artists helps to challenge the way in which festivals are typically run, and allow emerging talent to shine through and be represented. Visibility for these artists is incredibly important and the festival looks to create equality in a typically male dominated area.
